GUEST POLICY ROSSMOOR TABLE TENNIS CLUB
“Guest” is defined as a nonresident of Rossmoor; in addition, a Rossmoor resident can at times be a guest (see below). Associate Members are excluded from this definition.
“Sponsor” is defined as a Rossmoor resident or a member of RTTC who brings a guest(s) to play in the clubhouse.
The intention underlying this document is to enable RTTC members and non-member Rossmoor residents to invite friends and family members to be guests of and play with the sponsor in our clubhouse. The first Thursday night of the month is the exception thereby allowing advanced players from Concord to compete against RTTC advanced players.
The Rossmoor Table Tennis Club is intended primarily for the use of residents and members within the Rossmoor community. Rossmoor residents and members of RTTC may bring guests to the clubhouse under the following conditions.
● RTTC members/non-member residents shall not accept a solicitation by a non-Rossmoor resident to sponsor him/her as a guest.
● Guests shall not solicit RTTC members or non-member Rossmoor residents for sponsorship of guest privileges.
● The sponsor is responsible for ensuring that the guest is aware of and adheres to the rules and procedures of our club, including the RTTC Guest Policy. In addition, the sponsor is responsible for the acts of their guest(s).
● Residents/members may sponsor up to three (3) guests at a time.
● A sponsor must play with the guest during the entire visit unless physically unable to do so. Guests may use one (1)
table only.
● Guests, including children, must be accompanied by a resident or member sponsor at all times.
● A guest must await the arrival of his/her sponsor before entering the facility. When the sponsor leaves the club premises, the guest(s) must also leave with the sponsor.
● The guest may not return as the guest of another sponsor to prolong his/her visit on the same day.
● The sponsor, not the guest, must sign in for him/herself as well as the guest(s) before the start of play. Signing in is mandatory.
● If members are waiting to play, those waiting members have priority and guests must rotate off the table.
● Associate Members and nonresident Honorary Members may not invite guests to the table tennis club.
● A guest may play no more than two times per week. A week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.
● The duration of each visit by a guest can be no more than two hours with no more than one sponsor per visit.
● Guests are permitted to play as follows:
As the guest of an RTTC member:
Monday through Friday, between 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. Saturdays beginning at noon through Sunday night
As the guest of a Rossmoor resident:
Monday through Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The clubhouse is locked from Saturday noon until Monday morning for the use of RTTC members only; RTTC members
may invite guests during the locked hours. Rossmoor residents who are not RTTC members cannot use the facility during that time unless they are a guest of a member. (See paragraph three on first page for further clarification.)
● Sponsors and guests who violate the RTTC Guest Policy are subject to penalties up to and including suspension of privileges at the clubhouse for the sponsor and permanent expulsion of the guest(s) from the clubhouse.
